Since we may be moving to JAPAN this summer, we thought that it was finally time to start seeing some of the things that DC has to offer. I've been here before, through a high school trip, and saw most things, but our family hasn't seen anything - just monuments out the car window. Seeking to remedy this, we took a trip into the city for President's Day and went to the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum. We decided to REALLY make the most of it, and take the Metro. Our kids were so impressed...

After the excitement of the Metro, our kids were a little underwhelmed by the museum, but we perservered!
In the snow, even! We choose the Air and Space Museum because I thought that it would have the most interesting things for the kids, and we were right, sort of... But it never fails that when we plan an outing, the first thing the kids want to do is have lunch. Meanwhile, an hour later... Needless to say, we spent most of our time in the kid-friendly areas, and not much time looking at things that interested us. But we did a run through and caught the important things. Andy and I would love to spend more time there, but for now we can cross it off our list! The Highlights:
