Growing up in Colorado I had never heard of an ice storm.
In the winter, it snowed.
It did NOT rain.
In Virginia, sometimes it snows...
sometimes it rains...
When it rains and freezes, it's an ice storm.
It's actually really pretty.
Invariably school is cancelled the next day, or at least delayed.
So we can all stay home, sleep in and drink hot chocolate.
Pretty.
