Having Fun on "The Drive"

We've done a LOT of driving this summer.

Specifically, one 1700 mile, 26-30 hour trip to Colorado and then BACK.

Oh yeah, and during that trip we took a 600 mile, 9 hour drive to Utah, and back.

Thankfully our kids found ways to make it fun.  Or Andy and I found ways to make it fun for the kids...

We brought along movies, Leapsters, books, toys, our Wii and games and food for the trip.  Our car was packed to the gills, and then we had to throw in 6 people on top of that!

The kids did really well.  We had minimal whining, crying, fighting or fussing.

Thank Heavens.

Here's how we spent the drive:

Playing,

Eating suckers and making a mess,

Kids taking pictures of each other and themselves,

Driving, of course,

Looking at beautiful scenery,

Taking naps,

And making the most of our pit-stops.

Gotta love a Sinclair Dinosaur that's the perfect size for a ride!
