Kindergarten Performance

Ashton had her turn to shine last week.

Thursday night was the Kindergarten performance, where they got to show us all the things they've been working hard on this year.

And they did it through song, which made all the kids happy.

Ashton, however, had one line to say.

Her teacher thought she'd do a good job.

She sure loves Ashton!

We made a stop at the bookfair while we were waiting, so that entertained the kids.  Our kids LOVE books!

Thank goodness.

When the Kindergarteners entered they came pounding drums, clapping their hands and marching.  They were pretty cute to watch.

Ashton has the incredibly important job of leading her class in and to the stage.

Her teacher said she was the mother hen, directing all the kids and making sure they were in the right spot and knew where they were supposed to go.

Sounds like Ashton, huh?

Each class dressed as a different season of the year, and then sang songs about what they had learned that season.  Ashton's class was Spring, so they all wore flower hats that they had made.

Ashton got to introduce one of the songs her class sang.

She worked so hard to get her line just right.  She'd stay up in bed at night, practicing that line for days before!

And she did a great job!

Ashton sure has enjoyed Kindergarten this year, and we've loved her teachers.
